NEW: Further enhanced film wrapping

Film preserves silage better, with reliable protection against soiling. The film wrapping process in the ROLLANT 540 pulls the film over the edges. This improves the long-term stability of the bales, with problem-free stacking even over periods of several months. The optimised wrapping concept reduces the quantity of film required, and there is only one type of material to be disposed of afterwards.

NEW: Optimised drive concept

In addition to the rollers, the drive concept of the ROLLANT has been revised. The chains, sprockets and bearings, that is to say all the other components, which are subject to extreme loads for several hours a day, have been reinforced. With its larger sprockets and extremely strong cast roller bearing head, the ROLLANT 540 is also ready for heavy crop work.

NEW: Reinforced rollers

The CLAAS ROLLANT is the world’s biggest-setting fixed chamber baler. Its proven robust fixed chamber concept is continually being further enhanced by CLAAS engineers. The new ROLLANT 540 features new roller generation, with 15 reinforced rollers, 50-mm shafts and extra-robust ball bearings, for perfectly formed silage bales with optimum crop flow.

NEW: Even more user-friendly

The ROLLANT 540 opens and closes the tailgate automatically in just six seconds after driver puts the tractor in neutral. Driver workload is further reduced by the automatic knife cleaning cycle, automatic knife deactivation and ultra-convenient knife group selection from the cab.
